Race number 2 for this seasons Mid East Racing Winter Series took place at Carolina Adventure World in Winnsboro, SC January 3-4. The quads took to the woods on Saturday and the bikes on Sunday on very soggy grounds.

We were not able to make Saturday's quad round, but we made the short drive down I-77 South out of Charlotte for Sunday's bike round. Hit the road dull and early, it was overcast and raining to say the least, and made the 1 hour ride to Winnsboro, SC. Much rain had hit the area on Friday and all day Saturday during the quad race, so we knew what we were in for on Sunday. So far this winter series has not had the best of luck when it comes to the weather, both dates have had rain. At least on Sunday the temperature was in the 60's, so we didn't freeze on top of getting soaking wet.

Mud, mud, mud and rivers of water is the best way to describe the scene at Carolina Adventure World. But, the true bloods made the trip and hit the woods full force, well as much as possible, due to the soggy conditions. I think you'll get a good idea from the image below. We offer much deserved praise to the participants and the Mid East Racing crew that battled it out, provided the trail, ran the race and cleaned that mess up.
